Efimia Spilioti

Efimia Spilioti was born and raised in Chicago by first generation Greek immigrants who originated from the island of Cephalonia.

After graduating from the Francis W. Parker School of Chicago, she went on to receive a law degree from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

She then continued her studies at Lancaster University in England where she received a master’s degree (LL.M) in International Business and Commercial Law.

She has been admitted to the Athens Bar Association and is licensed to appear before Greek Courts. She has been legal counsel to Greek banks and corporations and has represented her clients in an extensive number of court cases in the fields of commercial, contract and property law. As she was legal counsel to a major retail company who owns and operates shopping malls throughout Greece, she also has extensive experience on legal issues relating to commercial property and real estate transactions. In the recent years, she has assisted many expatriates and foreigners with the procedures when buying property in Greece.

She is also among the attorneys that are referred to by the U.S. Embassy in Athens to U.S. citizens that seek assistance with their legal matters in Greece.

Her multi-cultural background, legal knowledge and twenty year professional experience ensure the highest quality of legal services to expatriates as well as local clients seeking legal assistance.
